Before more time passes - would like to locate my saber that was taken from my room in Bullock Hall, sometime after our Class of 1948 final dress parade and my leaving the campus in May-June 1948.
Reflecting back on our Height's HONOR CODE, a meaningful part of my experiences at Castle Heights, I had somehow expected the saber to show up at one of our "Home Comings" or by some other contact - but such has not been the case.
Guess I must have hurt someone's feelings badly for them to have used the exit saber as a means of expression? If I did so hurt someone's feelings, it was unintentional and I apologize. What was the hurt feeling?
In any case, if anyone knows the location of my saber, I would appreciate help in getting it 'back home'.
Fortunately, we all have many other more positive memories to recall and share from our Height's experiences.
Hope this message finds each of you well and enjoying this phase of your life.
Best regards,
Chuck Ryan, Class '48

Hi Chuck. I have great sympathy for the loss of a significant piece of memorabilia. My son, who graduated from the junior college at Marion Military Academy, was presented a sword at graduation as an award for being an outstanding cadet. While he was on active duty with the Army, the sword was kept at my home and during a move in my Navy career, it too was stolen. Although my son has replaced the sword at his own expense, it is not the same sword. I hope someone will see these posts and return your sabre to you.

Best Regards, Ed
